(More customer reviews)I do a lot of process and procedure work with clients that often result in complex workflow drawings that tend to run across multiple white boards and/or flip charts. I use a lot of color when capturing and diagramming the workflows--so color is as important to me when making copies of the recorded work. For this I have used the Tombow pens for the last 6 years. Can't beat them. For me, each pen will last two to three years with fairly regular use.
The two different brush tips on opposite ends is a nifty arrangement. The calligraphy brush holds it shape and allows you to always have control on the brush stroke. The fine point brush retains its shape and never gets blunt. A big plus for these pens--no bleed through on regular notebook paper and no smearing because they dry instantly. (Ink smearing can be an issue for me because I'm left handed--my fellow left-handers know what I'm talking about.)
I maintain several sets of pens--at work, at home and one for traveling. You can spend hours selecting colors if you go to the Tombow website--it's just easier for me to buy the pens in a set (and better pricing). Tough the sets come with specific colors that you don't get to select, the actual colors are not important to me other than they be distinctly different from each other so I can see the different parts of the color-coded processes that I capture.
