(but even on a canvass as small as 16x20 they can be very effective for background coverage.) It holds a lot of paint, blends pigments easily, and cleans up well. I have had several for over 3 years and they still work like new. All my large Galleria brushes have been used on 50 canvasses plus....
I have both the #40 bright and the #38 and would suggest both sizes as part of a brush collection. The closest thing to it are Ruby Satin Silver brushes but they do not go this large. As with any new artist brush, be sure to wash it well in mild soapy water to remove any loose hairs before using.
