(More customer reviews)Before using this palette I used a porcelain platter divided with caulk. It was effective, but now that I have used the Tom Lynch palette, I realize what I was missing! The palette is large and very heavy, meaning that it will not move around at all, no matter how hard I jab my brush at it. The surface is smooth, the paint will not bead, but spread smoothly, and it wipes perfectly clean with just a tissue. It also comes with a plastic cover and a strip of sticky foam to place around the lip of the lid so that it fits snugly onto the palette. I keep a wet sponge in my palette when I am not painting, and my paints stay moist. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it for a watercolorist looking for a great studio palette. This will last longer than your lifetime.
