Someone else complained about how stiff the brushes are, but that's just due to the coating -- which many brushes are sold with to keep them in shape before they are used. The coating washes off, whence the brushes are soft as oil brushes need to be.
The thing that bothers me about the kit, is the brushes are all fairly large, like they expect you'll be making very big paintings; but the tubes of paint are quite small (I didn't even have enough white paint to finish a painting on one 8x10 inch canvas.) Needs some tinier brushes!
