(More customer reviews)I love these and have divided my colors by transparent, prima-tek, quinacridones, and opaques. I might use one or two for a special selection of colors of fresh paint for a specific painting. But, mostly, they are for permanently holding a dab of each of my colors in an organized way...ready for immediately work. This organization makes it easy to paint the early transparent washes and glazes, then gradually build up to strong strokes of opaques and lively irridescent mineral prima-teks. The plastic will take a permanent marker labeling each color, so that working with books that refer to color name becomes easy. Their sturdiness allows me to put them in suitcases and travel all over the world with my palette ready to enjoy evening painting on business trips. Much safer than traveling with tubes of paint that might leak. The covers can be used for mixing and holding wet brushes, sponges and other supplies without getting furniture marked. Dare I say - I've worked up to using 8.
