(More customer reviews)I like the dark color, it is relatively easy to apply. The finish is puffy and has a plasticky feel - which to some extent I don't mind, but it is definitely something to consider as you prepare your piece.
Taken the resist in isolation, what I don't like is that even after it is heat set it is sticky. The first day it was sticking onto itself even after being set. It seems to be getting better, but still feels sticky.
If you are using silk dyes, like the Jacquard silk dyes (green or red labels) is that the resist and the dyes are set in different ways. The resist needs to be ironed, and the silk dyes need to either be fixed with the dyeset concentrate (green label) or steaming (green or red label).
I couldn't find more info on the Jacquard website, but I assume that you have to trace your design with the resist, wait until it dries, take it off the frame, iron to set the resist, and then put back your piece on the frame, dye it, and then steam/dyeset the colors. I'm assuming the steam/dyeset won't affect the resist. We'll see how it endures the test of time.
As an alternative to this resist, I tried adding drops of black to the Jacquard clear resist. So far, this eeems to have worked better (it is not puffy, no plasticky feel). I still have to set that piece, and I'm hoping that the dye mixed with the resist will stay put.

Jacquard's silkscreenable, colorless resist holds a crisp line without spreading, and will not shrink or pucker when dry. It washes out easily with warm water, even after steaming. It's odorless, alcohol-free, and non-toxic.
