(More customer reviews)Too expensive at any price. The sponge head is connected to the wooden dowel handle by tiny little nub of plastic. This plastic will EASILY snap off in use. In painting the detail molding on just one side of one door, I had to go through three brushes because the sponge head kept snapping off. Believe me, I'm not being rough with them in the slightest. I was even more gentle after the first brush snapped apart. These are just that bad. They just can't withstand even the slightest back & forth brush stroke for more than a few passes before the head pops off and goes tumbling (with paint!) onto the floor.
Frustrated, and without alternative brushes, I decided to finish the door with the fourth brush by holding the sponge directly with my bare hands. Just a sloppy mess. And that's when I learned the sponge will start to crumble soon after the head would normally snap off. Good grief! Tiny little bits of sponge spread all over the place, embedded in paint. What a disaster to pick them out before the paint starts to set!
While these aren't very expensive, their real cost is due to the fact that they don't work and are likely to ruin you project. These might perhaps be suitable for very small jobs - or possibly for children to apply watercolors (at school!!). I would not recommend that kids use these at home due to the obvious problems caused by paint-laden sponge heads tumbling across tables and onto floors.
