(More customer reviews)when opened, the hard plastic case reveals twelve small pans of colors, each in a tiny removable plastic tray. The top folds down level and provides a palette for paint mixing. The small (number 4) travel brush serves quite nicely--just pull apart the two halves, turn the non-brush end around and insert it into the other side. The small sponge is also useful for wiping the brush. You need to bring your own water container. A set of paintable blank postcards is also included. I am delighted at how brilliant the colors are. I would prefer it if the actual pans would snap into the holes are they come loose easily. Be careful not to open the box upside down or you'll dump the paints out. This is a nice compact watercolor paint set that is easy to use and small enough to take anywhere.
